larger image 		Waage Electric also offers a complete line of Hot Melt Strippable Protective Coatings. These protective coatings are strong, moisture resistant and form to save space. These coatings envelope the item but do not adhere. Transparent coatings are available as well as colors to aid in production identification, inventory control and product appeal. The coatings are very easily applied by immersing the item to be protected in the molten plastic for 1-2 seconds and withdrawn. It will solidify within a minute and is protected. The coating is removed by slitting and peeling like a banana. We recommend Waage electrically heated thermostatically controlled wax tanks to effectively apply hot melt protective coating.

Modern thermoplastic packaging. Economical. Saves time, space & weight. Easily applied by immersing the part to be protected in the molten plastic for only 1-2 seconds. The plastic will solidify in less than a minute, leaving the part completely protected. And since the plastic coats without adhering, removal is as easy as peeling a banana.

Most coatings are available in transparent and opaque colors. Normal thickness is 80-90 mils, and 8 lbs. of solid Plastic will melt into one liquid gallon, which will provide 4000 square inches of coverage at 1/10 inch thickness.

Used for rust prevention, product identification, inventory control, or to enhance the appearance of the product. Both the item and its part number are clearly visible through the protective coating, and the part is protected from abrasion and handling damage. Ask about our extended warranties.
  • Type A - For the best rust protection. Highly strippable. Odorless.
  • Type B - Our most transparent coating. Some odor present during melting. Meets Government Mil specifications.
  • Type C - Where rust protection and long-term storage are not required.
